Qiandao Lake (Xin'an River Reservoir) is located in Chun'an County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, with a small part connected to the northwest of Jiande County. It is an artificial lake built for the construction of the Xin'an River Hydropower Station to block the lower reaches of the Xin'an River. It was built in 1955 and completed in 1960. The dam of the reservoir is 105 meters high and 462 meters long; the reservoir is about 150 kilometers long, with the widest point reaching more than 10 kilometers; the deepest point reaching more than 100 meters. Under normal water level conditions, the area is about 580 square kilometers and the water storage capacity can reach 17.8 billion cubic meters. The water of Qiandao Lake ranks first among the large rivers and lakes in China. The national first-class water body can reach the drinking water standard without any treatment, praised as "the world's most beautiful water"
