Microswitch, as its name implies, uses a switch with very small force. It is a switch that the external mechanical force acts on the action reed through the transmission element to quickly connect or disconnect the fixed contact at the end and the moving contact.





The microswitch has micro contact spacing and quick action mechanism. The contact mechanism for switching action with the specified stroke and force is covered by the shell, with a driver outside and small shape. The microswitch is composed of five categories of constituent elements. The contact spacing is small and the torque is large. Generally, there is a drive rod on the outside.





1¡¢ Working principle of microswitch



(1) The external mechanical force acts on the action reed through the transmission elements (press pin, button, lever, roller, etc.), and produces instantaneous action when the action reed moves to the critical point, so as to quickly connect or disconnect the moving contact at the end of the action reed from the fixed contact.





(2) When the force on the transmission element is removed, the action reed generates a reverse action force. When the reverse stroke of the transmission element reaches the action critical point of the reed, the reverse action is completed instantaneously.





(3) The microswitch has the advantages of small contact spacing, short action stroke, small pressing power and rapid on-off. The action speed of the moving contact has nothing to do with the action speed of the transmission element.



2¡¢ Microswitch application



(1) Microswitches perform automatic control and safety protection in equipment requiring frequent circuit replacement. They are widely used in electronic equipment, instruments and meters, mines, power systems, household appliances, electrical equipment, aerospace, aviation, ships, missiles, tanks and other military fields. They have been widely used in the above fields. Although the switch is small, it plays an irreplaceable role.





(2) At present, according to different application requirements, the mechanical life of microswitches on the domestic market ranges from 3W times to 1000W times, generally 10W, 20W, 50W, 100W times, 300W times, 500W times and 800W times. Beryllium bronze, tin bronze and stainless steel wire are generally used as springs in China. Alps abroad can achieve 1000W times at most. Their springs are made of rare metal titanium.





(3) It can be used in computer mouse, automobile mouse, automobile electronic products, communication equipment, military products, test instruments, gas water heaters, gas stoves, small household appliances, microwave ovens, electric rice cookers, floating ball equipment, medical instruments, building automation, electric tools, general electrical and radio equipment, 24-hour timers, etc.





3¡¢ Precautions for use of microswitch



(1) When fixing the switch body, please use M2 small screw to fix it on a smooth surface with a torque of less than 0.098n ¡¤ M. in addition, in order to prevent the screw from loosening, it is recommended to use washer at the same time.




(2) Please note that in the free state, the action body should not directly apply force to the button or actuator. When in use, the force should be applied to the button in the vertical direction.




(3) The action setting after action shall be more than 70 [%] of the O.T. value. Under the condition of switching, do not set the action body at the action limit position, so as to avoid impact on the opening and closing, over travel and shorten the service life.




(4) In case of manual welding, please use the electric temperature 320 ¡æ with temperature adjustment to complete the operation within 3 seconds, and pay attention not to apply force on the terminal during the operation.




(5) When used under small current and voltage, it is recommended to use low-power circuit type (AU clad contact)
